Happy Birthday Jesus!

Here is Coop singing Happy Birthday to Baby Jesus on Christmas Day. My Grandma, Coop's great Grandma has the wonderful tradition. Every year she makes Jesus a birhtday cake. She goes all out with the whole nativity scene on the cake. She leaves a few of the animals off and all the kids get to put a piece on. We sing happy birthday and blow out the candle. This year Coop actually understood I think. He blew out the candle first before his cousins even had a chance to think about it.
I love this tradition becasue it really celebrates the true meaning of Christmas. We always get so caught up in the shopping, presents, food, Santa, etc we seem to forget what it is really all about. Grandma never lets us forget. I plan to carry on this tradition for my children and grandchildren. What a lady! I love her so much!

Baby Holmes

Hello friends and family! Sorry it has been so long since I have updated! As most of you know my digital camera broke on the first day of our cruise in July. I have been without a camera since then. Well I take that back, I did use disposable cameras for these last few months and NEVER again will I do that! The pictures were horrible and half the time Wal-Mart's CD maker is down so I could not even load the stupid pics on to my computer! I got a brand new, fabulous digital camera for Christmas from my rockin' husband, so I am back!
Here is our first glimpse at Baby Holmes! We went to the doctor today. For all you haters out there who said it was twins- HA! There is only one! I am 9 weeks along and due July 29. I will most likely be having another C-section so the baby will probably be here sooner maybe around July 22. I think it looks like a girl :) Don't you? You better!!!

A visit to Fire Station #2

We went to visit Daddy like we always do at the fire station(this time I remembered my camera). Cooper played on the fire engine and even got to see the fire truck leave on a call- lights and sirens and all!

Ft. Worth Zoo

Hot and miserable but fun. We went with some friends and their baby girl Sophie to the zoo. It was a typical Texas summer day. We dripped with sweat and drank tons of water. Coop enjoyed the animals especially the rhinocerous!

Cooper's Blessing

At 18 months old Cooper was FINALLY blessed. This should have been done 18 months ago! Life has been so busy, but we finally did it. His church family is so kind and supportive. It was a beautiful day!

I wish he could stay little

This picture reminds me of how little he is- I love it. This little basket will soon be too small for him to climb in and out of and pretend it is his car. I am trying to cherish every moment of this time when he is still little. I know it will not last long!

Chad surprised me on Mother's Day with a beautiful 16x20 photo of Coop in the bluebonnets. It was the best gift ever. It is so cliche, I know, to have a bluebonnet picture, but when it is your sweet little boy it is the most precious photo!

My new puppy

Mommy bought Daddy and I a new hunting dog. We named her Kadee. Daddy hopes she will retrieve our birds one day while we are hunting!

I love Mommy!

Enough Said!

Fun with Presley

Aunt Kim and Uncle Mike went skiing, so we took care of Presley for a few days. Coop had so much fun with her. They were wide awake on the way to the secret photo shoot. It was a surprise for M & K when they got home. On the way home they were exhausted from all the crying, throwing fits, etc while we were trying to get the pics taken. Those pictures are coming soon to the blog- you do not want to miss them!

What should I be when I grow up?

A business man, artist, or a chef??? Decisions, decisions!

Thank God I'm A Country Boy

Little Chad

Oh my gosh! It is Chad all over again. Let's start with the outfit: Wranglers, tennis shoes, Longhorn Jacket, dirty white t-shirt. That is definitely Chad's favorite attire. Next, playing with the air compressor in the garage- hmmmm... again, this is Chad's favorite thing to do.
